The Behr Team Insider's Guide: Cherry Hills Village

  • September 28, 2026

Few places in the metro manage to feel this private while sitting this close to everything. Cherry Hills Village has no commercial district of its own, just tree-lined lanes, acre-plus lots and miles of bridle paths, yet the Denver Tech Center, Cherry Creek and downtown are all a short drive away. At the back of Cherry Hills Farm, a neighborhood with its own security entrance, our new listing at 21 Cherry Hills Farm Drive puts you right in the middle of it. Here's how we'd spend a week living here.

By the Numbers

Measured from 21 Cherry Hills Farm Drive.

  • Under half a mile to Glenmoor Country Club
  • About half a mile to John Meade Park and the village's horse arena
  • Under a mile to Cherry Hills Village Elementary
  • About a mile to Cherry Hills Country Club and the High Line Canal Trail
  • About 2.5 miles to Belleview Station and the Denver Tech Center
  • About 6 miles to Cherry Creek Shopping Center
  • About 20–25 minutes to downtown Denver

Morning: A Short Drive to Great Coffee

Cherry Hills Village is intentionally residential, so coffee means a quick drive, and the options just outside the village are excellent. Corvus Coffee Roasters (4925 S Newport St) at Belleview Station is a serious specialty roaster, the kind of place that will talk you into trying a single-origin pour-over. For breakfast, Onefold (5960 S Holly St) brings its cult-favorite breakfast fried rice and fresh-squeezed orange juice to Greenwood Village. Heading north instead, Lavender Coffee Boutique (1400 E Hampden Ave) is a bright, newer spot with house-made syrups.

Or skip the car entirely: a morning loop through the neighborhood's tree-lined lanes, with Front Range views on clear days, is its own ritual here.

Afternoon: Trails, Horses and Two Storied Clubs

This is where Cherry Hills Village really sets itself apart. The High Line Canal Trail, a 71-mile ribbon of cottonwoods that ranks among the longest continuous urban trails in the country, winds right through the village about a mile from the house. Walk it, run it, bike it, or ride it on horseback, the way locals have for generations.

Closer still, John Meade Park (120 Meade Ln) is the village's front yard: crushed-stone walking paths, boardwalks over the wetland ponds, a natural playground, and a community horse arena.

For golf, you're spoiled for choice, with two private clubs close by. Glenmoor Country Club (110 Glenmoor Dr) is essentially next door, under half a mile away. About a mile north, Cherry Hills Country Club (4125 S University Blvd) is one of the most historic courses in the country, best known as the place Arnold Palmer charged from behind to win the 1960 U.S. Open.

Evening: Dinner Along Belleview

The closest favorite is Na Favola Trattoria & Pizzeria (5909 S University Blvd), about a five-minute drive south, where the pizza crust is made with flour imported from Italy and the pasta draws regulars back week after week.

A few minutes east, the Belleview corridor near the Tech Center has become a genuine dining destination:

  • Ambli Global (6799 E Belleview Ave) is the pick for a special night, with inventive global plates and a strong cocktail list.
  • Le French (4901 S Newport St) at Belleview Station does escargot, steak frites and a well-loved weekend brunch.
  • La Loma (8000 E Belleview Ave) brings the Denver classic's stuffed sopapillas and margaritas to a handsome brick building.
  • Catira (5370 Greenwood Plaza Blvd) is a locally owned Venezuelan kitchen known for its arepas and empanadas.

And when you want a bigger night out, Cherry Creek's restaurants, galleries and shopping are about 20 minutes north.

Schools

The home is served by the acclaimed Cherry Creek School District: Cherry Hills Village Elementary (under a mile away), West Middle School and Cherry Creek High School, about four miles east in Greenwood Village.

Getting Around

Belleview Avenue puts I-25 and the Denver Tech Center about 10 minutes away, and the Belleview light rail station makes game days and airport runs car-free. Downtown Denver is roughly 20 to 25 minutes north.

When the mountains call, Hampden Avenue (US-285) heads west toward Red Rocks and Evergreen, and I-25 connects north to I-70 for ski weekends.

Coming Home: 21 Cherry Hills Farm Drive

Set privately at the back of the neighborhood on nearly an acre of mature landscaping, this home was extensively renovated in 2023. It pairs grand scale with a warm, livable feel: five bedrooms, eight baths and 9,587 square feet.

The great room sets the tone, with soaring windows, custom herringbone white oak floors, a sculptural fireplace and a sweeping staircase with intricate ironwork. Waterworks and Kallista fixtures and marble surfaces carry the same level of detail throughout.

The kitchen is built for real cooking and real gatherings: an oversized island, natural stone, commercial-grade appliances and a walk-in pantry. A window-wrapped breakfast nook opens straight to the deck and yard. Nearby, a formal dining room handles special occasions, and a private office with rich green built-ins and a fireplace makes working from home a pleasure.

Upstairs, the primary suite has a sitting area, private balcony, spa-like bath and a dressing room complete with a custom sliding ladder. Three more bedrooms each have their own ensuite bath.

The walkout lower level is made for downtime: a lounge with wet bar, a theater, a game room with room for a golf simulator, a fitness area, a traditional sauna and a private guest suite.

Outside, an expansive deck and covered patio sit among the trees, ready for long dinners with the neighborhood's quiet as the backdrop. Smart-home features and an attached four-car garage round it out.

Offered at $5,250,000. View the full listing and photo gallery.

Why Buyers Look Here

Cherry Hills Village offers something rare in the metro: genuine acreage, privacy and horse country character, with the Tech Center and Cherry Creek close enough for a normal commute. Homes here don't come up often, and fully renovated ones on nearly an acre are rarer still.
